According to Las Vegas Sun, the Ultra Internet Media (UIM), the society to which belongs the Everest Poker’s logo, sues the Harrah’s Entertainment to which belongs the World Series of Poker applying the previous week to the federal court of Las Vegas.

The UIM drew up a 22.5 million dollars three-year contract for live sponsorship of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in order to become the major partner in 2008, 2009 and 2010 editions.

So the Everest Poker’s logo would have to appear in a predominant position on the cloths of every table included those shot by TV cameras. UIM says that more than once their logo has been censored in TV broadcasting and in particular, the 14th of February 2010 a french televisionRTL9 – not only didn’t show the Everest’s Logo but it has been replaced with the Full Tilt Poker’s logoone of the major competitors on the french market.

It seems that the infringement of contract’ terms has been a recurring issue and Harrah’s, ESPN and UIM arranged a meeting on February 2009 to discuss the question. According to Everest’ lawyers, “Harrah’s and ESPN have accepted to check their affiliated RTL9 asking to stop the transmission because of infringement of contract’ terms.”

Moreover the lawyers say that UIM has already paid the entire amount established for the sponsorships in 2008 (6.2 million dollars) and 2009 (7.9 million dollars) but it has no intention to continue further with the collaboration in 2010 making Harrah’s known the decision to leave the 2010 WSOP that according the contract would be cost 8.4 million dollars to UIM.

Always according to Las Vegas Sun, “Seth Palansky, one of the Harrah’s Interactive Entertainment Inc. and World Series of Poker’ spokesmen, said this friday that the society didn’t have the opportunity of knowing the entire text of the lawsuit and so it can’t comment charges.”
